STRATEGY・COMMUNICATIONS・BILINGUAL COPY

cay is a hybrid Creative Strategist, Communications Specialist, and Bilingual Copywriter from Japan. The foundation of their work ethic is based on five principles: curiosity, empathy, creativity, hope, and agility. In everything they do, cay lets the why behind topics of humanity, society, and the environment operate as a compass to guide each project. Their thoughtful strategic briefs are based on the brand’s business goals and consumer demands informed by qualitative and quantitative data analysis. The result, however, is a creatively composed brief meant to inspire the creative team to help them create the best work possible while meeting the client’s demands.

They have expertise in fostering and improving cross-cultural team relations and communications on a global scale. At Uniqlo / Fast Retailing and Wieden+Kennedy, they helped foster and align cross-functional teams, including C-level, brand management, creative, marketing, and financial departments between the New York, Tokyo, London, and Paris offices. Working closely with a diverse range of teams, they developed in-depth research and insights reports, transformed data-driven analysis into tangible, innovative solutions, and helped direct bilingual copywriting in English and Japanese.
